The New Brunswick Legal Aid Services Commission (NBLASC) is seeking a lawyer for the Campbellton regional office.
The successful candidate will deliver professional family law services within the NBLASC scope of services such as: custody, access, child support, spousal support, child security matters and divorce matters. Tasks may include preparation of affidavits and briefs, interview witnesses, meet with clients, attend court, research points of law, maintain good working relationships with members of the justice system, and other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate must possess some knowledge of Federal and Provincial legislation regarding NBLASC such as the Legal Aid Act, Divorce Act, Family Services Act, Interjurisdictional Support Orders Act, and the Rules of Court of New Brunswick.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Law Degree;
- Completion of Articling;
- Membership in good standing or eligibility for membership with the Law Society of New Brunswick;
- Bilingual: Written and spoken competence in French and English
Candidates with less than 5.5 years of membership at the bar will typically be considered as Lawyer level I. Candidates with more than 5.5 years, but less than 10 years of membership at the bar will typically be considered as Lawyer level II.
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Salary and benefits will be commensurate with skill level and experience:

$1,804 - $3,779 biweekly
